Arts Festival ln its 46th year of sights and sounds

Art. Food. Music. Sounds like a festival. Again.
For the 46th year, the Eatonville Lions Club Arts Festival will roll out its palette of artwork and entertainment for three days, starting this Friday.
As usual, Glacier View Park in Eatonville will be the venue for more than 100 artisans displaying and selling their work – quilts, paintings, glass, photography, cement yard art, forged metal, jewelry, crafts, dioramas, fabric, stitchery and furniture, among others.
Also on tap will be live and silent auctions, live music and other entertainment, assorted food and a beer garden.
A tradition on the first weekend of August for virtually as many years as anyone can remember, a charitable vein runs through the festival's fun atmosphere. Proceeds support the Lions Club donations of eye glasses and hearing aids for those who can't afford them, donations to the American Diabetes Association and Lions Club International Foundation, and scholarships for local students.
Here's the schedule for festival events and activities:

Aug. 4 and 5:

• Artisan booths open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Food available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Beer garden open from 11 a.m. to midnight.
• Live auction on Aug. 5 at 6:30 p.m.

Aug. 6:
• Artisan booths open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Food available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Beer garden open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The entertainment lineup hadn't been announced at the start of this week, but in past years, bands, singers and dancers have taken the stage.
