PEOPLE: New assistant principal for EHS

• Tiffani Wells, who is from Eatonville, is among 1,953 students at Azusa Pacific University who were named to the latest Dean's List. All of them had grade-point averages of 3.5 or better.

The university is located in Azusa, Calif.

• Sheelah Ridgway, an English language arts teacher at Eatonville High School for 21 years, will continue working with students there, but at a different level.

Ridgway is the new assistant principal, starting with the 2017-18 school year. She replaces Greg Goble, who left to become an assistant principal in the North Thurston School District.

Ridgway said she is "excited to continue as a Cruiser." The feeling is mutual, said principal John Paul Colgan.

"Sheelah is a strong pillar in the community, understands EHS well, centers on student learning, possesses plenty of integrity, and has high expectations for all Cruisers," Colgan said.

Ridgway and her husband, Scott, have two sons, Thomas and Cole. She enjoys reading, playing cards, traveling, and volunteering in her community.
