William Dunn has been appointed to the Eatonville Town Council.
Dunn was chosen Monday by the council to replace Abby Gribi, who resigned from the council last October to become the town administrator. He can serve the rest of Gribi’s unexpired term, which ends this year. Dunn and other candidates can run for a four-year term in the office in this fall’s election.
Dunn was one of two applicants for the council vacancy. The other was Brad McBeain, who also applied for another council opening last year.
Dunn is employed by Muckleshoot Indian Tribe as an agent for a regulatory agency that monitors compliance with tribal, local, state and federal laws. He’s a former reserve police officer for the City of Fife, has volunteered with Pierce County Parks and Recreation, and is a member of the board of directors for Eatonville Youth Sports Association.
He and his wife have a licensed foster care home.
