Cruisers clinch berth in state fastpitch

Eatonville clinched a spot in the 2A high school fastpitch state regionals by beating Sequim 9-1 Friday in the West Central District playoffs.

The Cruisers will face White River at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at Sprinker Recreation Center in Spanaway , with the winner advancing to the district title game at 3 p.m. The loser between Eatonville and White River will play third or fourth place at 3 o’clock against either Orting or Port Angeles. All the games will be at Sprinker.

White River defeated Olympic 16-9 in a first-round game Friday.
