Battle of unbeatens goes to Puyallup

In a battle of unbeaten 4A South Puget Sound League high school football teams, Puyallup outslugged Graham-Kapowsin 34-27 Thursday by holding the Eagles to their lowest scoring output of the season.
The host Vikings broke a 27-27 tie in the fourth quarter with a 39-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jacob Holcomb to Darius Morrison.
G-K led 21-3 after the first quarter but was held to two field goals the rest of the way, finishing with less than 30 points for the first time this season. The Eagles had been averaging 45 points per contest.
Puyallup is now 6-0. Graham-Kapowsin is 5-1.
