Christmas closures in Eatonville

The Christmas weekend begins this week, which means local public offices, schools and other public services will have shorter hours and closures to be aware of. It would be wise to wrap up last minute errands before the holiday when others will be home spending time with friends and family.

The following offices will be closed for the holiday;

• The Town of Eatonville offices will be closed by noon on Christmas Eve and close Christmas Day. The offices will reopen on the following Wednesday.
• Pierce County District offices and courts will be closed Christmas Day. Hours will resume on Wednesday.
• South Pierce County Fire and Rescue offices will close early on Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day. Offices will reopen on Wednesday. For emergencies call 911.
• Eatonville Police Department offices will be closed Christmas Day. Office hours will resume on Wednesday. In the event of an emergency call 911. For non-emergency situations call (360)832-6111.
• The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department offices will be closed Christmas Day. In the case of an emergency call 911. For non-emergencies call (253)798-4722.
• Pierce County Library branches will be closed Christmas Eve and and Christmas Day. The Eatonville branch will reopen on Wednesday.
• The Eatonville School District winter break begins Dec. 19 until Dec. 31. Eatonville district offices will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Offices will reopen on Wednesday.
• The United States Post Office will close early on Christmas Eve and offices will be closed on Christmas Day. Offices reopen on Wednesday.
