Frank Ruisch longtime resident of Eatonville, Washington, passed away on January 15, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup after a brief illness.
He was born on July 4, 1935 in Magyorpolany, Hungary. He worked as a baker in East Germany in the 1950’s until tiring of the police state there he escaped through the “Iron Curtain” and immigrated to the USA. Frank worked for several years as a baker in New Jersey before coming to Eatonville. Frank worked for the Town of Eatonville from September 1978 to December 1998 as the Water & Sewer Superintendent. Frank was named “Water Operator of the Year” in 1995-1996 by Evergreen Rural Water of Washington. He was preceded in death by his brothers and and his partner of 30 years Maxine Games. He was one of seven brothers and is survived by only his youngest brother Andrew Ruisch of New Jersey as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Hungary. Burial will take place at the Eatonville Cemetery. No services will be held at his request.
