Free opportunities for 3-D printing will be offered in March at Pierce County Library System branches in Eatonville, Graham and Spanaway.
On the dates of scheduled workshops, participants with ready-to-print files can use the libraries' 3-D printers to create items such as tools, toys and robot parts, get quick design lessons, and learn the printing process.
Since it was first developed in 1983, 3-D printing has been reshaping manufacturing and unlocking the potential for anyone to create, library officials said.
The workshops schedule includes:
• Eatonville, 205 Center St. W., on March 31 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Graham, 9202 224th St. E., on March 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Parkland-Spanaway, 13718 Pacific Ave. S., on March 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
