Sweating your tax return? Volunteers' help is free

South Pierce County residents can go to three locations in Graham, Spanaway and Eatonville for free help with preparing their federal tax returns.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering the help to filers who generally earn $56,000 a year or less. IRS-certified volunteers are available:
• In Graham Feb. 24-March 24 and on March 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Harvest House Food Pantry at 25713 70th Ave. E. There are no appointments.
• In Spanaway Feb. 17, March 3 and 17, and April 7 at Bethel Learning Center at 21818 38th Ave. E. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be made at soundoutreach.org/events.
• In Eatonville on March 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Pierce County Library System branch at 205 Center St. W. No appointments.
Tax filers should bring all documents they need for preparing their returns.
