Woman killed in drive-by shooting on Webster Road

A drive-by shooting early on Monday morning killed one woman near Eatonville after multiple shots were fired at her home.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call after shots were fired at 3:45 a.m. The woman was hit in the bathroom.

The woman, in her mid-60s, was deceased by the time Pierce County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on the scene at the residence, in the 30900 block of Webster Road East. The home is in unincorporated Pierce County south of 304th Street East.

Ed Troyer, Pierce County Sheriff Office detective, said the woman was the only person hit in the shooting, which appeared to be a targeted act.
There were six people in the residence, including two children. One of the members of the household has a history with the police and is being questioned by authorities.
