Eatonville licensing office can help avoid vehicle licensing delays

The Pierce County Auditor’s office reports a severe staff shortage at the main vehicle licensing office in Tacoma from June through September, but a local licensing agency in Eatonville can help avoid delays.

Customers visiting [the courthouse] after 1:00 p.m. can expect one to two-hour wait times. Passport applicants who are unprepared will be turned away after 4:00 pm.

Vehicle and vessel licensing is provided by subagents throughout the county. Customers are strongly encouraged to conduct licensing at one of these locations.

Eatonville Licensing, at 820 State Route 161 N, can handle vehicle and vessel licensing and title transfers, but it does not handle passport applications.

It recently moved and is near Eatonville Towing and Ohop Valley Storage. The agency is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Phone (360) 832-8366.
