Bulldogs no match for the Cruisers

The Cruisers headed to Tukwila this past Friday night to take on the Foster Bulldogs in a non-league game. Eatonville would bring their 4-2 overall record into the game against the Bulldogs 1-4 record.

With Foster winning the opening coin toss, the Cruisers would get the ball to start the game.

The Cruiser offense would slice through the Bulldog defense in a hurry. Following a long run by quarterback Caden Jumper and a 26 yard reception by Job Kralik, the Cruisers were set up 1st and 10 at the Foster 1 yard line. Jumper would keep the ball and run it in for the score. After the Kralik kick, the Cruisers would lead 7-0.

After the kick, Foster would start at their 35 yard line. The Cruiser defense would really flex their muscles on the drive. They would push Foster back to the 15 yard line where they would set up to punt.

On the play, Kaden Foster would go untouched as he made his way to the punter to block the punt. The ball would end up resting in the endzone where Cruiser Ryan Colbert would cover it up for the score. Kralik’s extra point kick would sail through the uprights and Eatonville would extend their lead to 14-0.

On the ensuing kickoff, Kralik would hit a perfectly placed pooch kick that allowed the Cruisers Nicholas Bond to recover it at the Foster 41 yard line.

A 10 yard run by Alex Brymer and a 34 yard reception by Zach Smith had the Cruisers at the 3 yard line. Jumper would then find tight end Nick Sawyer in the endzone for the score. After the extra point, the Cruiser would add on to their lead, 21-0.

The Cruiser defense would stand tall again and the Bulldogs would be faced with a 4th and 7 at the Cruisers 43 yard line and would elect to go for it and Cruiser Blain Hanly would sack the Foster QB at the 47 where the Cruisers would take over.

After a completion to Nick Sawyer, Jumper would hit Zach Smith again on a 35 yard reception to set the Cruisers up at the 3 yard line. Jumper would then run it in from there for the score. After the extra point by Kralik, the Cruisers would now lead 28-0.

Foster would finally get on the board at the beginning of the 2nd quarter and then again midway through the quarter to bring the score to 28-14 at the half.

Alex Brymer would find the endzone for the Cruisers late in the 3rd quarter on a 26 yard run. Kralik’s kick would be unsuccessful and the Cruisers would extend their lead to 34-14.

After a Zach Smith interception at the Cruiser 15, Eatonville would march down the field and score again when Caden Jumper would keep the ball and carry it 12 yards for the score. The extra point would be good and Eatonville would lead 41-14.

Foster would find the endzone again. After an unsuccessful extra point attempt, the score would be 41-20.

Midway through the 4th quarter, the Cruisers would score their final touchdown of the night. Jumper would bobble the snap and pick it up and run. He would break many tackles on his way to a 34 yard touchdown. Kralik’s kick would be goo and the Cruisers would lead 48-20, which would be the final score.

The Cruisers would rack up a total of 567 yards of total offense, the most in a game this season. 211 yards through the air and 356 on the ground.

Leading rushers for Eatonville would be Jumper with 135 yards and Brymer with 130. Zach Smith would lead the Cruiser receivers with 2 catches for 68 yards.

With this win, the Cruisers improve to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in league play.
