Adopt a veggie course at Monroe Library

Volunteer gardeners from the Julia V. Morris Centennial Garden at the Sky Valley Food Bank will offer a class 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Monroe Library to educate people about how they can adopt a veggie of their choice and learn what care is needed from seed to harvest. Class learning materials are provided by Washington State University's Snohomish County Extension.

Those who adopt a veggie at the centennial garden can volunteer to care for it or just sit back and watch it grow and eventually be harvested to support the food bank next door.

For more information, contact garden director Marilee Schneider at 425-754-2445 or m.schneider9741@hotmail.com. The Monroe Library is at 1070 Village Way.
