Julie Loan Ky Alexander, Monroe Post Office employee and author of "A Rose on the Steel Ground,GÇ¥ will present her book at a book signing on Monday, May 5, 6 p.m. at East County Senior Center, 276 Sky River Pkwy. in Monroe.
"A Rose on the Steel GroundGÇ¥ a story of Alexander's youth in Vietnam, emigration to the U.S. and struggle to aid her community back home, is published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, LLC.
Books will be available for purchase, and refreshments will be provided.
