Fireworks go on sale statewide Dec. 27-30.
Fireworks are banned in Gold Bar entirely, and are not okay for use except for the Fourth of July in the unincorporated county, but are okay in Sultan and Monroe. In Monroe, fireworks can be discharged until 1 a.m.
Where to buy fireworks:
Monroe
There has been only one permit to sell fireworks issued in Monroe. That stand will be located in the Ben Franklin parking lot.
Sultan
Majestic Fireworks is the only stand to open in Sultan, Dec. 27-Dec.31. The stand will open at noon on Dec. 27 and will be open after that from 9 a.m. to midnight. For more information, see http://kathyjirak.webs.com/.
