The old Hitching Post awning in downtown Monroe got a fierce scrubbing last week, thanks to NW Moss Removal owner Connie Kreutzer Baxter.
Baxter visited the site with employees Dylan Maeding and Austin Weyland on Tuesday, Sept. 30, after reading in the Monroe Monitor & Valley News that Main Street Caf+¬ owner Sandra Adkins was looking for someone to help refurbish the historic Hitching Post awning. Adkins has been engaged in renovations at the old Hitching Post over the past several months, and is preparing to open her caf+¬ in mid-October.
NW Moss Removal specializes in roof and gutter cleaning throughout the Puget Sound region. Baxter, who lives in Monroe, said she is happy to help out another local business owner when she can.-á -á
"What we're trying to do now is lighten it up a little bit,GÇ¥ Baxter said. "We're not doing a big job here; we're just trying to make it look as good as we can.GÇ¥
