The Park Place Middle School Dance Cats have been out and about, bringing holiday cheer to some of Monroe’s favorite residents.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, the team of sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade dancers performed to many classic holiday favorites, much of which was choreographed by the dancers themselves.
The assorted dance genres included pompoms, lyrical, hula, traditional hora and a lively country Christmas line dance.
After each performance, the dancers delighted their audiences with gifts of sock snowmen and treats they made for them.
Amid lively conversation, laughter and some happy tears, it was hard to tear the dancers away from their newfound friends. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved, and the Dance Cats are hoping to make it a holiday tradition.
