A truckload of emergency work supplies left Del's Farm Supply Saturday morning (A) and was delivered to the Oso Fire Chief Willy Harper later that day (B). The equipment, along with a hand-lettered banner of support, was turned over to the searchers (C) and then they headed back to work (D).
The supplies were collected from the community and included such items as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shovels, power saws, pain relievers, toiletries, diapers, gloves, rain gear, socks, two-cycle oil, duct tape, garbage bags, towels and more.
Members of the Monroe Fire Department and the Monroe Rotary Club, as well as employees of the City of Monroe, were on hand to help collect.
