As a part of an ongoing Monroe Chamber of Commerce initiative to help revitalize Main Street, the chamber is hosting a downtown Monroe clean-up event this week on Wednesday, July 8.
Members of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and members of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program will gather on Main Street at 5 p.m., and will spend time picking up trash on portions of East and West Main streets. Community members and business owners are welcome to attend the two-hour cleanup event.
As the Ambassador Program Coordinator, chamber member Carlina Morris works with new and prospective business owners to promote Monroe as a viable place to start a business. The chamber will supply cleaning supplies including trash bags, brooms and more.
