The Snohomish County Parks Department got some help from an Eagle Scout candidate Saturday, when Orion Keen and 30 of his friends came to remodel the restrooms, clean up the park and remove graffiti.
GÇ¥We are doing landscaping and painting and working in the restrooms,GÇ¥ said Keen Saturday. "There was a lot of graffiti to paint over.GÇ¥
The young people arrived at 9 a.m. and worked on the park most of the day.
It was the continuation of a long relationship between parks and Eagle Scout candidates, many of whom earn their rank of Eagle Scout by improving public parks; one local young man has built and installed five bridges in area parks.
