Evergreen State Fair creates Makers Market for local vendors

The Evergreen State Fair is launching a new Makers Market for local artisans and crafters to sell their handmade goods during this year’s fair.

Makers can choose to show the entire 12 days of the fair or choose a particular block from Aug. 23-Sept. 3, and applications are due by Aug. 7.

Potential vendors must also have a valid business license and enough inventory to sell for the block they choose, according to a news release. The products must be handmade by the vendor or their business. Booth fees are due prior to opening day.

It costs $1,300 for the entire fair, $450 for the first weekend block, $400 for Block 2 (Aug. 27-30) and $600 for the second weekend, which had the highest attendance numbers in 2017.

The Evergreen State Fair reports 350,000 people came through during last year’s two-week run.
