The Medic One Foundation received more than 40 requests for urgent support from fire agencies faced with limited resources following responses to major complex fires in Washington earlier this year.
Snohomish County Fire District No. 26 in Gold Bar was approved for a $1,000 grant from the foundation, with support from The Physio Foundation, to replace hose backpacks and wildland hose nozzles.
Medic One Foundation Executive Director Jan Sprake announced in a new release there were more requests than the nonprofit could fund, and asks anyone wanting to donate to its Wildfire Fund to got to mediconefoundation.org.
