Fireworks permitted New Year's Eve in city only

Fireworks are allowed inside the city limits of Monroe, but are not permitted in unincorporated Snohomish County.
Two fireworks stands met the November deadline for filing for permits to sell fireworks in town. One will open in the Albertson's shopping center parking lot and another near Ben Franklin, both on or after Dec. 27.
The stands will be able to open on noon Dec. 27, and can stay open until 11 p.m. each night through New Year's Eve.
It's only legal to shoot fireworks off between 6 p.m. New Year's Eve and 1 a.m New Year's Day.
Remember to pick up your fireworks debris when you're through.
