Flashback: High Bridge, Tualco Valley

The original High Bridge truss is shown here after its removal in April, 1915. Written on the back: The old High Bridge across the Snoqualmie River; the origination of the name "High Bridge,GÇ¥ which is presently given the bridge now standing about a quarter of mile upstream from the old and original "High Bridge.GÇ¥ This bridge stood 90 feet from low water. Since that was written, another bridge has replaced that second High Bridge at the new location, the third bridge to cross the river at the Tualco Valley site. Everything but the span of the original bridge was rebuilt and opened in February 1906.
