Flashback: Working the log boom

The Black Prince, shown here in 1907, was one of a number of steam paddlewheelers that plied the Snohomish River system beginning with the Nellie Wright in the late 1870s.
The Black Prince made her maiden voyage in 1901 under Captain Charles Elwell. She was turned over to the Everett Yacht Club in 1935 and was dismantled in 1956.
