Food Bank still need Thanksgiving turkeys

"The government shutdown in October really hit us hard,GÇ¥ Sky Valley Food Bank Executive Director Neil Watkins said. "It had an impact on donations. We need dollars and food.GÇ¥
Volunteers at the food bank are welcome, as are donations of toys and food.
The food bank will be giving out Thanksgiving food on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.
The schedule will be: Monday, Nov. 25, people whose last names begin with the letters M-Z can pick up holiday meal supplies between 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, people with last names beginning with A-L can pick up meals supplies from 9-11:30 a.m.
People who can't get to the food bank during those hours because they are working or going to school can pick up meal supplies Monday, Nov. 25, from 5:30-7 p.m.
The food bank will be closed the rest of that week, re-opening Monday, Dec. 2.
