Gold Bar's annual tree lighting and lighted holiday parade takes place 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, in downtown Gold Bar.-á
Parade staging will take place at the Gold Bar Family Grocer at 6:30 p.m., and all are welcome to participate. The parade will travel west down Lewis Street to Fifth, stopping at Gold Bar's Gateway Park, and prizes will be awarded for the best light display. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with kids, and free refreshments include hot chocolate, apple cider and cookies.
The family friendly event will feature an ornament-making station for kids, organized by Lauren King from the Urban Farm Montessori School.-á
The tree lighting event is being sponsored by the Gold Bar Red Hats, the North Cascade Nursery, Snohomish County Fire District No. 26, the Gold Bar VFW Auxiliary, Katie Koenig and the Urban Farm Montessori School. The refreshments will be provided by the Gold Bar Red Hats.-á -á
