Hometown Hootenany, a musical concert series formally held in Everett, is coming to Monroe for the 2014 season.
Hometown Hootenany focuses on country, folk and bluegrass music featuring local professional artists and emerging talent.
There will be a series of shows at the Wagner Performing Arts Center, 639 W. Main St.in Monroe.
The first show is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 7:30 p.m. with the "Legends of Nashville" theme, featuring classic country favorites performed by the Hometown Band and guest artists Jacksontown, covering the music of Johnny and June Cash; as well as local artists Dakota Neuman and Bucking Horse.
Two more shows are scheduled in Monroe on November 8 and December 13.
General seating is $17, children 12 and under are $5; Seniors, students and military are $14.
