The nonprofit Housing Hope's newest development, Monroe Family Village, will officially open noon Friday. The community is invited to attend and experience the new space.
"It's so exciting to see this project come to fruition,GÇ¥ said Housing Hope CEO Fred Safstrom in a news release. "We believe that homes, jobs and children are the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and this new space will address all three of these areas for our residents.GÇ¥
Monroe Family Village-áfeatures 47 total residential units, including 37 affordable rent units for low-income families and 10 Service Supported Homeless Housing units for families who are transitioning out of homelessness.
The development is also designed to serve as a regional service center for all Housing Hope residents living in the Skykomish Valley cities of Sultan, Monroe and Snohomish, reducing the need for unnecessary trips to Everett.
On Friday, guests can tour the new site, including residential units, a playground and the community meeting space that's an integral part of the new construction.
The Monroe Family Village is located at 17428 W. Main St., Monroe. Tours begin at noon Friday, Oct. 30, with the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 12:45 p.m.Project rendering courtesy of Housing Hope
