The annual Heybrook Hoedown takes place 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the River House in Index, 444 Avenue A.
Friends of Heybrook Ridge have been holding the annual event to raise funds for building trails at Heybrook Ridge County Park.
The Heybrook Hoedown features food, live music by Sparerib and the Bluegrass Sauce and a raffle. There will also be photographs and notecards on sale, featuring local works by Garvin Carrell, Kelley Schalo and Bruce Albert, as well as an auction for a 2-foot-by-six-foot panorama photo of the Skykomish River Valley, with Heybrook Ridge and Index at the center.
Tickets are $25 per person, with children under 12 admitted for free.
Proceeds will go toward phase one of the Heybrook Ridge Trail, which should be completed and open to the public next year.
