Jack Law was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Jack loved being from Monroe. He was born in Monroe in 1928 and graduated from Monroe High School in 1946. He played and lettered in three sports (football, basketball, and track). In his youth he was such a strong man. He was searched out to move pianos with his best friend, Wally Pearson. He was very proud of his Irish heritage, and always said, "There are two types of people; the Irish and those who wanted to be Irish.GÇ¥
For 10 years he was part of the City Council and Mayor of Monroe. He volunteered with the Fire Department for 25 years and worked as a P.U.D. lineman and service man for 30 yrs. Following retirement from the P.U.D., he worked for Windermere real estate for 10 yrs.
Jack enjoyed visiting and talking with people of all ages. Anyone could come to him and ask about people from Monroe and/or the history of Monroe. Everyone knew him and he knew everyone. Jack was a huge sports fan. He supported the Bearcats, Cougars, Huskies, Seahawks and Mariners.
Jack will be greatly missed by his immediate family as well as a large extended family of many nieces and nephews. In addition the family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Providence Hospital for the wonderful care he received during his stay.
Memorial service will be announced on Nov. 9.
