Jersey Mike's raises nearly $4,400 for Monroe School District

Monroe's Jersey Mike's Subs sandwich shop made a big splash during its grand opening fundraising effort, raising nearly $4,400 for the Monroe Public Schools Foundation.

When Jersey Mike's Subs opened its doors in Monroe in December, its leadership team selected the Monroe Public Schools Foundation as the beneficiary of its traditional grand opening fundraiser. To raise money, the new restaurant circulated thousands of coupons that provided a free regular sub for a minimum $2 donation to the Monroe Public Schools Foundation.

Additionally, Jersey Mike's donated $3 to the foundation every time a fundraising coupon was redeemed. The restaurant raised $4,397 for the foundation, which was divided evenly between all Monroe School District schools.
