This was a learning experience for all involved and gives a great example to the community: -áteaming together to make learning exciting. It also, once again, shows the importance of preschool. These lucky preschoolers will be ready for kindergarten. Many other students won't get this opportunity.
That is why universal preschool is so important and is being debated at the state and national levels now. Citizens can weigh in on this debate by calling or emailing their representatives to tell them how important this time is in the life of a child. It sets them up for success in K-12 education and makes them more likely to graduate from high school.
Our voices can help this happen, giving every child a successful start. Statistically it even saves money in the long run, by creating more independent citizens. So follow the inspiring example of Sultan High School students and contact your representatives to make this great start possible for all children. Willie Dickerson
