[Recently], the voters of Monroe said "yesGÇ¥ for our schools. A 62 [percent] win, if you asked any politician, would be a landslide!
Thank you!
We saw the business community, not-for-profits, political leadership, school groups and public safety personnel support this. We believe their support made it clear this was a community issue ' and you responded strongly.
We saw an army of volunteers get involved. They took the time to understand the importance and challenges, participated in 13 [plus] months of evaluation of the needs of the buildings, helped get the word out electronically, by phone and with signs everywhere, and, in the end, made the commitment to Monroe's future.
You should be proud of what this says about our community. Over the next several years, watch and smile as the new projects make our schools better and safer places to learn ' giving our students a better chance at a great education and provide extraordinary value to the school district's citizens.
For many reasons, we are pleased we live in Monroe. This vote is just another one!
