Local airmen complete basic training

Air Force Airmen Colleen E. Taylor, James A. Ferris and Ashley Hill graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Taylor is the daughter of Michael and Regina Taylor of Monroe. She is a 2010 graduate of Sultan High School.
Ferris is the son of Joanna Fulton of Mountlake Terrace and George Slocum of Sultan. He is a 2010 graduate of Mountlake Terrace High School.
Hill is the daughter of Lesa Hill of Gold Bar, and Eric Hill of Sea Tac. She is a 2007 graduate of Sultan High School. She also earned an associate degree in 2012 from Cascadia Community College, Bothell.
