Making time for T.I.M.E Out

Monroe chamber director runs afterhours gathering

One of the goals of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce is to help its members make new connections in the Monroe business community, as a way to increase networking opportunities through building meaningful relationships.

Monroe Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Yvonne Gallardo-Van Ornam organizes her T.I.M.E. Out for Monroe events to do just that. An acronym for talk, interact, meet and experience, T.I.M.E. Out for Monroe afterhours gatherings are held once a month at different businesses around the city. The events are free to attend, and typically include snacks and beverages.

Last week’s soiree took place at KeyBank Monroe, and was hosted by KeyBank branch manager Kristi Hilliard and members of her staff.
Some of the businesses represented last week included the Dashing Dutchman’s Deli, Genesis Heating and HVAC, Damsel in Defense, the Evergreen Speedway, Ben Franklin Crafts and Frame Shop and Shokunin Media.

T.I.M.E. Out for Monroe events are held in addition to the monthly chamber luncheons, which take place on the second Tuesday of every month at the Rock Church Monroe. For more information about the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, visit choosemonroe.com.
