Man arrested in library for child porn now charged with molestation

A man arrested in August for viewing child porn on a library computer has been charged with having pictures of himself molesting children on his phone.
August 5, a library patron approached staff and said she'd seen a man looking at graphic pictures of children on a computer. The police were called and found the man in possession of some printed sexually explicit images of children.
The man also had a flip phone with him, recent court documents say. Aug. 27, a detective went through it, and recovered two deleted video files which apparently show the man molesting a four-year-old child. The child seemed not to understand the nature of the man's actions.
The detective contacted the family who rented the alleged perpetrator, Terry Farr, a room. The child in the video was the homeowner's niece. Farr had watched the child and another, a 1 year old infant, in the six months prior to his arrest.
There were other videos of the child playing, and police said that is typical "grooming" behavior, in which the perpetrator makes the child comfortable with being filmed.
Other video files on the phone appear to show the same person masturbating in a public library or bookstore.
Police initially couldn't find Farr after finding those files on his phone, and thought he might have committed suicide. The Sheriff's Department listed him as missing. Acquaintances said he'd announced his plans to do so, and said he owned a gun. But Sept. 18 he turned himself in to clarify that he wasn't missing, and at that time was arrested.
