Doug Spinks, who was arrested in Monroe 2005 with 372 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle, is back in trouble. But this time, it's not for drugs, it's in connection with bestiality, and it's the second time he's run into trouble for it since he got out.
Spinks got very little time for his massive cocaine bust, as he was the first of his drug smuggling ring to get busted and therefore the one with the most to offer law enforcement. In exchange for giving federal prosecutors information about his many co-conspirators, he served about three years at a minimum security federal prison camp in Sheridan, Ore.
Police suspected at the time of his arrest that he was interested in bestiality, due to a bumper sticker he had that was associated with a website on the subject.
Later, people who shared on extreme sports forums began discussing the crimes of the renowned base-jumper and extreme sports enthusiast, reporting that he'd been involved with some bestiality organizations.
After he got out of prison, he settled in the border town of Sumas, Wash., in Whatcom County, where he was arrested on suspicion of running a farm for people who wanted to engage in the practice.
