Marilyn Pearson went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 30th. Marilyn was born July 26th, 1932 in Seattle, Washington to Herbert and Adeline Schwartz. She attended Park Place School and Monroe High School, where as a young lady of German descent she met and fell in love with a tall, lanky Swede, Wallace. A gifted pianist and popular student, Marilyn graduated in 1950. Later that year, she married Wallace. Together, they raised five children.
A strong woman of faith, Marilyn’s life became truly complete when she asked Jesus Christ into her heart. Marilyn often hosted bible studies, prayer meetings, and traveled the state evangelizing the gospel. Marilyn loved her family. She especially loved baking cookies and pies for her grandchildren. She enjoyed making new friends and helping others in need.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, her parents Herb and Adeline, her sister Kathleen, and niece Toni. Marilyn is survived by her children Kathleen, Kevin (Gaerda), Kyle (Karen), Kirk (Rachel), and Kean, her brothers Dale (Jeannie) and Dean Schwartz, nephew Robert, and niece Tisa. Also, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, very special nephews, nieces, cousins, and all of her beloved friends.
There will be a public memorial on Saturday, October 21st at 11am at the Rock Church, 16891-146th St SE #145, Monroe. Remembrances can be made to the Monroe Christian School. Arrangements entrusted to Purdy & Kerr with Dawson Funeral Home, Monroe, 360-794-7049.
