Sultan Mayor Carolyn Eslick announced on Tuesday, Jan. 5, completion of the first phase of an off-leash dog park in Osprey Park north of the Sultan Food Bank at 703 First St., which is open daily to the public during daylight hours.
The dog park is 30-feet-by-130-feet, and phase 2 of the project will extend the area to 70-feet-by-300-feet. There will also be a third phase to follow.
Donations needed for phase 2 include 100 feet of six-foot chain-link fence, 500 feet of four-foot chain link fence, 40 eight- and 12-foot fence posts, 10 gates, 10 corner poles and 40 80-pound bags of concrete.
