The Monroe Garden Club will learn about permaculture during its next meeting on Monday, Oct. 8.
Wilderness Awareness School graduate and scientist Christopher Case will talk about the biological, social and technological implementations of permaculture to promote health and sustainability, according to a garden club news release.
Meetings are open to the public, and donations for the Sky Valley Food Bank are always welcome.
The garden club will meet at Monroe United Methodist Church, 342 S. Lewis St.
