Morgan Horse Show raises funds for charity

Megan Johnson, 15, of Snohomish wipes the brow of Jazztime Just Jamaica, her mount in the C-Fair Charity Morgan Horse Show on Sunday at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe. The Morgan horse owned and trained by Catherine Cloud of Stanwood is attended by groom Larrette Oien, right.
Johnson finished fifth, just behind her 14-year-old sister, Valerie, on Mystic Isle's Magician, also owned and trained by Cloud. The horse habit is a family fixation, said Jennifer Johnson, the girls' mother.
"We all ride as a family and have been for about eight years," she said. "The girls really enjoy the competition."
The C-Fair Charity Horse Show is a five-day event that raises money for various charities, including Seattle Children's Hospital.
