No injuries in flipped plane incident near Skykomish River in Monroe

A pilot was uninjured when their airplane flipped on its top during a landing near the Skykomish River in Riley Slough in Monroe on Friday.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said someone fishing in the river reported the plane crash around 10:10 a.m. Oct. 12.

The pilot and fisherman were able to pull the plane out of the water, she said.
