87 Years of Welcoming Life
Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother died on March 18th in Bothell, Washington surrounded by her children and close family. Pat was born in Montreal, Quebec before moving cross country to Vancouver, British Columbia.-á Following the death of her first husband, she immigrated to Monroe, WA and married Robert G. Blomster -- a marriage that lasted "until death do us part,' while rearing a diverse biological family. Despite the financial difficulties of supporting seven children, Pat welcomed everyone into their home and extended herself to be inclusive of each child, grandchild and great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.-á Trips with the extended family to Port Townsend (and other environs) are legendary. Post-retirement, Bob and Pat spent two months each year in the Palms Springs area, welcoming all that could join them over Spring Break or other breaks in the workplace environment. Pat is survived by her husband Robert, daughters Judith A Schaad (Doug), Diane T Horning (Bob), Gail M Jenko (Tom), Irene J Rommel (Bob) and Jeanette L Caros (Lance).-á She is also survived by her sons Ronald J Blomster and Brian P Blomster (Sande). A celebration of Pat's life will be held between 1:00 and 4:00 on May 8th at the HollyHills Community Center (19200 HollyHills Dr. NE., Bothell, WA).-á Though Mother's Day provides logistical challenges to every family, our family would be pleased if you could attend and share stories that we have never heard.
