Police investigating a report of trespass in the 16500 block of 150th Ave. in the Fryelands neighborhood of Monroe found more than just squatters Thursday.
At about 7 a.m., police responded to a call reporting that a man and a woman had gone into an abandoned home, and that there had been a red motorcycle in the driveway as well.
When police arrived, they saw a man running through the house and out the back door. But upon hearing that the police had with them a police tracking dog, both suspects in the house gave themselves up.
The woman had a cut on her hand and was taken to Valley General Hospital.
Police then searched the house and found a red motorcycle in the garage that had been reported stolen in a May 17 burglary in south Snohomish County. Also found was a stolen handgun, some money, and 20 grams of heroin, nearly an ounce.
The man, 33, of Everett, and the woman, 26, of Marysville, where arrested for burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into jail.
