Selecting a preschool that's right for your young one can be overwhelming, which is why Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid founder Erin Chamberlain has organized a free preschool preview and education fair this weekend in Monroe.
The family-friendly event takes place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Monroe Boys & Girls Club. The fair includes vendor booths, activities and a parenting with love and logic discussion scheduled for 11 a.m., which will examine effective techniques to provide balanced discipline and other positive parenting solutions. Other activities include crafts, demonstrations and a photo booth.
"This is a great opportunity for parents to meet teachers, ask questions and register for classes from more than 15 preschools and private schools in Monroe, Sultan, Woodinville, Duvall and Carnation,GÇ¥ states Chamberlain in a news release.
Parents are invited to browse booths hosted by different preschools with their children. Each vendor will provide an activity, craft or demonstration representative of their organization, so kids can get a feel for what the school is like.
Cherry Valley Macaroni Kid is a free online resource and e-newsletter connecting parents to local activities. The event is being hosted by the Monroe Boys & Girls Club at 261 Sky River Parkway in Monroe.
