Shirley Karger, 66, of Arizona, passed away with her loving husband Russ by her side on January 7, 2013 due to complications from what she simply described as her "old enemyGÇ¥ cancer.
Shirley was born in Lewiston, Idaho on January 30, 1946 to Claire (Cathy) McGreevy.
A longtime resident of Sultan, Washington, it was there she raised her four boys with former husband Edward Boucher on a large farm property where she continued to pursue her lifelong love of horses, becoming an avid barrel racer and horse trainer. Shirley moved to Arizona with husband Russell Karger twelve years ago after overcoming an earlier bout with cancer. As he was most recently, Russ was with her then to provide support and strength.
Shirley is survived by husband Russ Karger; sons Derek Boyd, Dustin Boucher, Brady Boucher, and Corey Boucher; sister Sally Emerich; stepmother Violet Emerich; former husband Ed Boucher; grandchildren Robert and Rochelle, Devan and Sienna, Courtlynn and Taylor, Kylie; and many other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Cathy, and father Bill Emerich.
Shirley's final request to family and friends was to simply live life with no regrets and enjoy the days you have, for they pass all too quickly.
