Snohomish County still issuing disposal vouchers for flood-damaged items

For people still dealing with the aftermath from major storms in November, Snohomish County is continuing to issue free disposal vouchers for flood-water damaged household items that will be good through Friday, April 1, at county solid waste facilities.
In the Sky Valley, vouchers can be obtained at the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office's East Precinct at 515 Main St., in Sultan and the Gold Bar Police Department at 107 Fifth St., in Gold Bar.
Acceptable items for disposal through the vouchers include carpets, mattresses, clothes, furniture, food, appliances (except refrigerators and freezers), oil-based paint and small amounts of household hazardous wastes.
Commercial and business waste does not qualify, and only Snohomish County residents can receive vouchers.
For more information about disposal vouchers, facility locations, hours of operation and general acceptance policies, call the Snohomish County Solid Waste Division at 425-388-3425 or visit www.snoco.org/solidwaste.
