Monroe Bearcat No. 3, senior Andy Chartrand scoots under a wild throw, safe at second in the Bearcats' hectic 6-6 tie in 10 innings against Eastlake on March 16.
The game was called because of darkness. Chartrand went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in the season-opening game. There was no winner; both teams accepted the tie.
There were two over-the-fence home runs by Michaela Johnson and Megan Rybar in the Bearcats third-straight win of the young season.
