Stevens Pass Opens For Summer Operations June 27

Activities Include Bike Park, Scenic Rides, Hiking and Disc Golf

LEAVENWORTH, WASH. (June 25, 2014) GÇô The Stevens Pass Mountain Bike Park opens this Friday for its 3rd-áfull season of operations. The 472 inches of snow that fell last winter is all nearly melted and the park will be 100% open. Stevens Pass provides the only lift-serviced mountain biking in Washington State. -áScenic chairlift rides, hiking and disc golf will also be available for guests visiting Stevens Pass.

Despite the late winter snows, all five trails have been cleared, repaired and groomed for opening day. In addition, the trail crew is working feverishly on a new 2+ mile long beginner trail that is expected to open in early August.

"With the addition of the new beginner trail, we will have completed the first development phase of the bike park and added great learning terrain for aspiring gravity hounds,GÇ¥ said General Manager, Bill Bourton.

Guests can also expect to see some new improvements and re-workings on the park's existing trails like Slingshot Wookie and P.B.R. (Powered by Rudolph).

Stevens Pass Bike Park opens at 10am Friday with the Hogsback Express chairlift spinning for scenic rides, access to the disc golf course and all 5 mountain bike trails. Bike park hours are Friday-Sunday, 10am GÇô 6pm through early October.

Daily ticket rates for the bike park are $35 for ages 14 and over and $29 for ages 13 and under. -áScenic chairlift rides and disc golf are $12. Mountain bike and disc rentals are available at the lodge.

Bike Park Season Passes are also on sale now through July 31. Ages 14 and over passes are $199 and ages 13 and under are $174. Bike Park season passes offer unlimited access to Stevens' lift serviced trail network all summer long.

Stevens is also pleased to announce a partnership with mountain biking World Champ Jill Kintner and Bryn Atkinson to offer two weekends of Gravity Clinics, July 12-13 and September 27-28. These clinics will focus on technical skills, bike setup, reading terrain and choosing lines, race strategy and more.
